Favourite Photos from 2013

Ok, so this post is a good week late as far as the year end/beginning posts go, but I wanted to post this anyways.  I didn’t do a whole lot of travelling over the past year.  I bought a new car after hitting a deer a deer viciously attacked my old car, totalling it, so I had to stay on home soil to work towards paying my Civic off.  I don’t like owing money.  I’d actually rather just work and pay everything like that off now than have payments for the next however many years, so it’s a sacrifice I didn’t really mind making.  I did mange to get to couple places though; Paris and London.  That was also right after I bought myself a new camera so I was a little more snap happy than usual.

Anyways, here’s my 20 photo favourites of 2013!  Hope you all like them too :)

I’ll start with London!

This is just from walking back to the hotel one night – I just liked the way the lights & reflections looked.

I don’t know which particular building this is but it’s pretty close to the Gherkin.

Fort Edmonton Park on Canada Day. There were quite a few people decorated for the occasion at the Park that day including a several people just wearing flags like capes. This guy was nice to enough to strike a pose!

This is from one of my close friend’s wedding for which I helped out with the photography.

This is actually right across the road from my parents’ house in my lovely little rural hometown.

Also across from the house.  Apparently I didn’t need to go half way around the globe to get a good picture, just across the road ;)

Where did you all make it to this past year?

Comments

  1. These are lovely shots….so peaceful. I have to say I have few favorites, but the one that made me smile the most was the bikes in front of the Louvre. Love them all!

    • Thanks! The funny thing about that pic is, is that I didn’t even mean to take it. I was only trying to get the building and the pyramid and then the bikers rode in seemingly out of nowhere! Gotta love it when those things happen :)

  2. Beautiful photography! I agree, the bikers at the Louvre is such a great shot!

  3. Wow! You’re an amazing photographer! I love the pictures of London (of course), as well as the Eiffel Tower photo!

Where did you take that photo of the London Eye from?

    • Awe thanks Alyssa! The one of the London Eye was from a little park area just by Buckingham Palace if memory serves me correctly.
